VoyCabulary.com - An incredibly cool site! Go to this site, type in the URL of any other site and it will display the site with all the words Hyperlinked to their definitions from an on-line dictionary. Very useful if researching online text using complex vocabulary.


Concordances of Great Books - A lot of fun on long rainy days. A Concordance is a data base of words or phrases found in great literature. Ever wondered who wrote "you fart like a weasel"? (Aristophanes, in his ancient Greek comedy, The Acharnians). In what great masterpiece did Kipling use the word "stinky"? (The Gate Of A Hundred Sorrows). Just type in a word and kiss the afternoon goodbye!


Encyclopedia Britannica On-Line - Not only does it a search offer hyperlinks to articles from Britannica, but it also offers a list of useful sites throughout the web pertaining to your search. Not particularly in-depth information, but it's a good place to start.
